Visit to the International School of Geneva
Recently the AIS team happened to be at the heart of IBO – Geneva and the birthplace of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme – the International School of Geneva. It is the oldest and largest operating international school in the world. Founded in 1924, as the world’s first ever international school, it joined IB system in 2005, and has been proudly educating for a better world ever since. The student body is represented by 140 nationalities with 80 mother tongues, so no one can find more diverse school on earth! Three campuses that share the same philosophy, values and mission welcome around 4450 students.
Visiting the International School of Geneva was a great experience for the AIS team. It was a chance to have a deep insight into the world of IB school through speaking with the Principal, teachers and other school staff, watching the process of educating the internationally-minded and inquiry-driven learners, and to find confirmation that AIS is on the right track.
The AIS team will adopt the acquired experience to keep the school improving and continue collaboration with this great IB school.
